Abstract

According to psychological and sociological theories, one of the main channels for learning violence is the family, which, if it is impacted by any reason, one of its consequences would be a break in developmental process, because according to the field of this research, violence is considered as one of the inhibitors of development. The lack of access to universal education for many women and girls in societies, gender-based in employment, early marriage, and so on all provide grounds for violence against women. So, we can say that violence has become a widespread concept, and a deterrent factor of development in today's world. Investigating this violence from the perspective of individuals who have had an experience of violence can make the context and dimensions of this concept more apparent. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to do a semantic reconstruction of violence among married women in Tabriz city. The research method is a qualitative method. The data were collected through a deep interview with the married women in Tabriz. The interviews continued until theoretical saturation has been achieved, and in the meantime. The findings were categorized into six categories of aggressive personality, economic limitations, legal requirements, social trauma, media representation, and emotional isolation. The core of this research is the concept of "shake-up at the femininity base." This concept indicates that the female base has been shaken and lost its former position.
